Like I said, this weekend has been all about slobbing out and not doing much, apart from watching a lot of TV. I've seen the advert for Max Factor's new Beyond Length Mascara about 50 times over the weekend, which prompted to actually go out and buy the stuff when I was picking up some groceries today. The 'new' twist to this product is a double-ended brush -- one end with the normal super-lengthening black mascara, and the other with an iridescent colour to add a flash to your lashes. Simply sweep over your existing mascara for a subtle, yet totally modern look.
I know a lot of people probably think coloured mascara belongs firmly in the 90s, but subtle shades like the ones here can really make your eyes pop. I have green eyes and red hair (well, currently), and the purple and gold really make a difference, and certainly don't look dated. Stay away from primary blue (way too dinnerlady), and you're onto a winner.
Max Factor Masterpiece Beyond Length Mascara (phew), £9.99, all good chemists.

It's the last day of the 4 day weekend, and the Monday bank holiday is traditionally spent sleeping/eating/down the pub/all three. Having spent most of the day out and about in the snow, I'm relaxing this evening before going back to work by clearing out my bookmarks folder -- I know, my life is pretty exciting.
One thing I stumbled upon that I totally forgot to blog about is the amazing nail art of the Kaen Beauty Studio, based in Vancouver. I know a lot of people probably think they're hideously tacky, but whatevs, it's my Bank Holiday blogging.

What was Fergie on about when she sang that? I have no idea.
My favourite beauty look for S/S 08 has to be what's been dubbed by the fashion press, 'Candyfloss Hair'. I love big hair, and with hair like mine this is quite an easy look to achieve. Roll out of bed, back comb a bit, ta-da!
Suggested listening: Candyfloss, by Wilco.
Keep reading for more on achieving the fluffy-headed look!

Legendary New York artist Keith Haring would have been 50 this May -- he died of an HIV related disease in 1985. To mark his birthday, Uniqlo are selling a range of Haring-print shirts as part of their UT Project. Other artists who have been a part of the project include Terry Richardson, Kim Jones, Gareth Pugh and Cassette Playa.
I picked up the heart one last week, and I'm planning on buying another later this month for the BF's birthday... see and shop the full range at Uniqlo. For more on Keith Haring, check out his site.
