I can't help but think I know where Viktor & Rolf got their inspiration for the makeup at this season's show... copycats.

Susie Bubble has been blogging about Beddug Wyn Humphreys' headbands, and, as usual, she's on to something. I love them.

It's a bit of a shame that there's a big pile of headbands there, I'd quite like one headband with all those birds on!

4 Of The Best

Phew, it's hard having two jobs AND writing this thing! That being said, here's a mini group review of 4 of my favourite designers who showed in the last couple of days in Paris. Can you believe the Fashion Weeks are over? It doesn't seem like a month ago when the fun began.

Viktor and Rolf decided to say 'no' to the idea of fast trends this season. Uhm, literally. Take away the stuffed letters and funny face paint though, and this was a cute, wearable collection from the French duo. They seem to excel in making fun, showstopping collections, that, once the props and stage pieces have been taken away, are still totally covetable.

The first Valentino show since Mr Valentino's departure (although I imagine most of this was designed before he left), and things are still looking pretty much as you'd imagine. Lots of bows and blouses and frills and chiffon. There was even the token Valentino red gown to close the show -- a fitting tribute to the label's lost leader. Alessandra Facchinetti done good, but I'm looking forward to seeing what she puts out next season, when the reins have fully been passed over.

Big shiny dresses with lots of bows. That's about all I ever have to say about Lacroix, but it's no bad thing. I would wear every single thing in this collection in a heartbeat, if I had a spare few thousand.

Dries loves a print, particuarly the arty/ethnic type that always filters its way through to the high street in one way or another. This season he picked up the floral trend and ran with it, although these were pretty little flowers, a la Luella, rather than the enormous blooms of last season. His love of the slightly clumsy look wasn't completely forgotten though -- check out the sandals and grey socks. Yum yum yum.

After the funfest that was last season's Sonia Rykiel show, I'm glad to see the girls at the A/W show were looking just as happy.

This is brilliant, and the only headgear I will be needing this season.
