Madame Wee Birdy just posted these pics from the Emma Cook SS10 look book. Not arsed about the frocks (or shoes - wtf?) but hey, guess what! I love that hair. Bit more of a sophisticated take on the omnipresent hair bow and way more appropriate for a pensioner like me. Kind of victory rolls and a Gaga bow rolled (LOL) into one.
I think the delightful and ever on the ball Paul Mitchell team did a look like this last year in some of their promo material, gotta see if I can track that down. In the mean time, I was gonna try this look tomorrow but I'm planning to wear a particularly bright dress and people always look at me like I'm special when I have that on anyway, don't want to add to it with a weird 'do too.

Can't believe it's taken me this long to talk about how excited I am for Shrinkle's upcoming makeup line, Sugarpill! Amy herself wears the kind of makeup I dreamed of but failed to achieve as a teenager;

RU makeup just wasn't pigmented enough, I guess. Anyway, I'm not going to attempt this kind of look (only because I'd look like I was a teenage goth, not because I don't love it), but it's gonna be great to try out those crazy bright shades anyway. In a more subtle way, if you will. Considering how anal Amy is about colour (I mean that in a good way, obvo), I feel positive that these products are gonna work really well. Anyone who hangs out with trannies as often as Amy does is basically gonna get this kind of thing right, right?

This sounds a bit like I'm Amy's friend. I'm not, I just stalk her obsessively on the internet and have done since my Live Journal days began. Anyway, Sugarpill... launching soon.
All pics c/o Shrinkle!

Just saw these shoes on the always amazing Luxirare. Does anyone know anything more about them? Here's what I've got so far; they're amazing.
Is it blasphemy to post these on a Sunday? I think the big man would like them.

OK, so it was probably some kind of innocent administrative error, but Urban Outfitters has enraged/amused/bemused the whole of The Internet this snoozy Sunday by offering one of their new shirts in two colorways; "White/Charcoal" and "Obama/Black".
Oooops.

This Lisa Shepherd image haunts my days. Whenever we use it in one of the mags or it floats past my desk I fall in love a little bit more. I want this hair above and beyond any other style I have ever posted in my entire life, I swears. Alas, being a grown-up, even a grown-up who works in hair, it's not gonna happen.
Lisa Shepherd also happens to be one of the best, nicest, funnest hairdressers ever so you should totes check her out if you're in the West Midlands. I've seen her doing stage shows before and she's just a legend. Top gal!
