Marni and Prada are two of the most influential labels in the world of Fashion. Although they both veer more towards the eclectic end of the scale (some might say unwearable!), they are both the labels that all others look to for inspiration. Along with the likes of Balenciaga, these are the superbrands with superhero designers, who have the ability to look into the future and come up with something completely new. Marni's collection is shown above, and I just adore the colours. I'm a huge pastel fan anyway, and the way these have been layered is just beautiful. Marni designer Consuelo Castiglioni has a real artist's eye, and I would be interested to hear her starting point for this palette. Take a look at the show here!

I'm in the midst of packing for my holiday (and watching the Brits, of course), but I want to take a second to say OMG at Marni. It's PERFECT! Posted by Administrator

In the words of my main man Xzibit, what in the name of birthday cake is going on? (No, really, he said that on Pimp My Ride yesterday). After Moschino's surprisingly pared down show yesterday, I was anticipating an all out camp-fest today at the main label’s show. No such luck. When did everyone go and grow up? I don’t know, now I’m going to have lay all my trust in Miu Miu. Still, the Moschino was still brilliant, with ruffles, military influences, and a bit of a Lagerfeld-esque homage to monochrome. When I say ruffles, the image above will give you some idea of how fixed on an idea the designers at Moschino get – there were ruffly skirts, dresses, collars, coats, blouses, uhm, ruffs…
Keep reading to see how they got on with Military and Monochrome

Jil Sander is a label renowned for its austere tailoring, so when dresses get involved in the suit-wearing world of designer Raf Simons, it’s hardly surprising that they take on menswear-inspired tailoring techniques. Simons said that for this collection, he let his tailors loose on the dresses – resulting in some beautifully tailored pieces with clear inspiration coming from menswear techniques. A series of dresses featuring horizontal pleats and tucks were exquisite, but probably not that flattering on, well, anyone but the models.

Whenever the subject of essential beauty products pops up, I seem to turn into a Kiehl's walking advertisment. It's not my fault they make such brilliant products!
When it comes to moisturiser, there is no product on Earth I would praise higher than their Ultra Facial Cream. Developed for explorers on an expedition to Greenland, this product contains the following super-scientific sounding ingredients (I'll leave it to them to tell you all about it!);
"Antarcticine–a Glycoprotein extracted from microorganisms sourced from sea glaciers and notable for an ability to protect skin from cold temperatures–as well as Imperata Cylindrica, a plant indigenous to the Australian desert which possesses superb water retention properties in dry conditions."
It's thick enough to feel like it's really working its magic, but it's also light enough to not leave you with a greasy feeling. It really, really makes a difference, and has been a permanant feature on my dressing table since I first got my mitts on it.
