A few hair and beauty bits of note;Posted by Administrator

Carnaby Street are celebrating their 50th anniversary. How does one celebrate the anniversary of a street? A shit one at that IMO, Liberty aside? According to the Evening Standard you post pictures of topless girls in the 60s hanging out on Carnarby, enjoying love and freedom. This pic was in the paper today and while of course there's pendulous breasts to admire, there's also amazing sunglasses and hair. This kind of bouff has most recently been brought back to our attention through the likes of Chloe, who always upon always feature chicks with big, glossy waves. I'd wager that this hair was pretty much solid and set with beer and bean cans like wot they did in the old days, but STILL. It looks nice. I just got this at work, so I'm gonna try it out and hopefully achieve the same look with less crust.

Next is this. See the whole shoot here. Let's talk about those eyes, that hair. WTF is she putting on her lips? I need it, even if the colour isn't accurate. Babe. Tastic.

Don't need to say anything here other than that Abbey Lee is fast becoming my number one. Unf unf unf.

New jingle jangle item from Topshop. How predictable, I know. They've got loads of these charm necklaces in at the moment and while I'm pretty sure they're not all unique, this was the only one of these I could find anywhere in store. Cute, cheap etc. All good. On the subject of cute and cheap, come say hi if you see me at the New Look Oxford Circus launch tomorrow! Can't wait to see what they've done with the place and am already planning what to buy with the generouso press discount....... Pics to follow, no doubt.

I still love this picture. Tim Walker for Juicy Couture, the Giles and Proenza hair, that Lisa Shepherd image I just posted... Yesterday my favourite hairdresser emailed me about their new 'Ice Cream Sundae' service, offering slices of lilac and pink, lemon and blue... Next appointment due soon so maybe we'll see.

Following on from those galaxy crotch trousers I wrote about ages ago... Today on Pipeline they posted these amazing Nebula shoes from Zazzle.com. Wow, only about 1000x nicer than any other trainers I've seen this year. I don't get how they manage to make these so awesome and then still see fit to offer this as a legit accessory that they assume people will purchase;

... but who am I to question it?

I've always been pretty vocal about my love for Henry Rollins. I'm obsessed, I fantasise about how cool it would be if he was my dad, that kind of thing. I thought I had the monopoly on pictures of him but when I was Googling something the other day this sprang up out of the blue and just about blew my tiny mind.
Anyone who know Hank but at all will be aware that his thoughts on personal style pretty much go: Dickies/Vans/t-shirt. That's the way it's been for the last thirty years, why change the habit of a lifetime. It makes me feel a bit gross and ashamed of myself to talk about the FASHION behind this picture because it's the last thing our man would have ever even considered, but let's just whisper how much I love those rolled sleeves. Amazing.
