If the news that Avril Lavigne plans to launch a range of clothing wasn't exciting enough for you, then surely this breaking news will satisfy your punk needs. Fall Out Boy/Ashlee Simpson boyfriend/bar owner/online penis flasher, Pete Wentz is set to open his own 'punk-themed beauty salon'.

Yegods!

The unisex parlour will no doubt offer hair straightening, eyeliner application, and possibly even tattoos. I made that up. But let's be honest, it probably will. The salon, tentatively named The Clandestine Industries Salon (I know, I know), is set to open in Pete's native Chicago in April.

Punk legend Avril Lavigne is the latest in a long, long, long line of celebrities to put her name to a clothing line. In a deal with US store Kohl's, the Canadian hardcore singer is expected to be designing a juniors' back to school line, due to hit stores in July. Back to school in July?! Boo!

Anyway, the range is expected to, "blend an authentic rock ‘n’ roll attitude with a feminine edge". I know I'M excited... are you?

Disclaimer: I don't hate her that much really, but she should really filter all her music through Lil Mama first.

Root'd In CA

I love LA a lot, but I still don't think I could get away with the Root'd In Style area code bracelets, even though they're amazing. You can pick them up at Shopbop.com, but at the moment they do only have West Hollywood/downtown LA area codes. They do have necklaces for other cities, but they aren't quite as cute as these.

They need to design a SE14 one, then we'd be talking business...

Such Great Heights

The hats at John Galliano's A/W 08 show were a stroke of genius, and Galliano was just one of many, many designers choosing to top off his outfits with a titfer. Galliano's towering floral creatins seemed to be inspired by 60s partywear -- all rafia and woven flowers and pom poms and wool. If you fancy injecting a little comedy headgear into your wardrobe, good news! No doubt the High Street will catch on eventually, but it's unlikely that they'll produce anything as OTT as these bad boys. Ebay, however, is packed full of fabulous vintage hats.

Keep reading for a few of my favourites!
