I know I'm not the only one who found Fiona Shackleton QC's watery makeover a vast improvement. Ms Shackleton is (was) Paul McCartney's divorce lawyer, and shortly after the verdict was served up, Heather Mills decided to dump a jug of water over her head in a fit of rage. Not cool, Mills, not cool. But I can't deny it, lady Shackleton looks about 10000000x better with wet-look, slicked down hair. That before look is way too Camillia -- way too 80s bouffant. But after? It's like a new woman!
PS, check out this (almost) action reply.

Nan Goldin is my all-time favourite photographer, so I was pretty psyched to see a new collection from her in the New York Times this week. Nan has taken a series of photos of celebrities/models/socialite-types dressed in this season's couture, but this being Nan, these aren't your average fashion shots.
See more under the jump, or check out the whole series over at the NYT site.

Today's offering is the wonderful June Carter Cash. What a voice! This song is probably better known as performed by the Peasall Sisters in O Brother Where Art Thou, but I prefer June's version. Posted by Administrator
Oh, and if you want to hear another version... Here are the bizarre Deadly Nightshades playing on Sesame Street(!) way back in 1975. Why they are playing quite so fast is anybody's guess.

No, not taking photos of himself naked and posting them online. After the news earlier this month that Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz is to launch his own beauty salon, news reaches us today that he's also signed up with US store Nordstrom to launch a clothing line. The range will be sold exclusively through Nordies, and will consist of hoodies, graphic tees, denim and accessories.
I imagine it will be brilliant.

It's no secret how nuts I am about Ms Kahlo, and I could talk about her sartorial influence for hours. Today, however, I'm going to focus on the floral headpieces she was often spotted wearing. Florals were a large part of Frida's artwork (usually interpretated as something sexual, intentionally or not), but she also wore them in her hair most of the time. This may have just been a traditionally Mexican take on celebrating colour and life, or it might have had something to do with Frida's demons. She often complained of looking masculine, and is regularly recorded talking of feeling ugly and 'manly'. She often dressed to express these feelings in men's suits and shirts, so maybe this was an easy way of expressing a little femininity.Who knows? They don't half look pretty though, and are an easy peasy way to slip a little of this season's florals into your life.
Johny Loves Rosie are the bestest silk flower sellers in the UK, and their prices are bargainous. I bought a bunch of these today, and plan to wear them over the crown of my head in a Frida-stylee. For something more subtle though, just stick one over your ponytail or clip in by your ear in a down-do.
