American Apparel Heads Up

American Apparel are offering 15% off all their denim and courdroy styles this week! It's an offer for newsletter subscribers only, but just in case you don't happen to be on the mailing list... all you need to is enter denimdays08 at the checkout. Don't say I never do anything for you!

My personal picks are above. First up are the Stretch Bull Denim Slim Slacks in a gorgeous (and, of course, on trend) purple, and then the incredible Stretch Bull Denim Slim Skirt in fluoro yellow -- yum yum. It would go perfectly, if not a little loudly, with the Highlighter range of jersey that I went crazy for a couple of years ago on holiday in Miami. In a fit of margarita-enduced shopping mania I bought every single item in the range... what can I say? They look great with a tan!

Go Get Yr Nails Did

You know I love graphic tees...

You know I love nails...

And I have mentioned these guys briefly before...

But it's time I give some proper love to the brilliant Nails Did. Their graphic tees are the basis of any of my dress down looks, and pretty much the only time I wear jeans is when they're accessorised by a Nails Did shirt. I don't really want to share their strangely hard to loacte store with you, but I guess it's only fair. Go on then -- they're available here.

John Galliano For... Carla Bruni?

Clearly the most important part of the French presidential visit to London is Mme Sarkozy's outfits. Right? Well, judging by the coverage her first outfit has attracted, yes. The elegant grey suit and beret combo (and flats so Mr Le President doesn't look short) were designed by the one and only John Galliano for Christian Dior. The outfit has received varying comments from the press, from the obvious comparisons to Jackie Kennedy to the more cruel thoughts that the outfit was drab and unflattering.

I personally think she looked a picture of elegance, and the famous Dior grey flattered her gorgeous hair and eyes. I'm looking forward to seeing what else she whips out of her valise -- rumour has it that the whole state visit wardrobe has been selected and styled by Galliano himself.

PS Oh go on then. Here's the link the to the naked photo of Carla that's doing the rounds. If you insist. The real question now is, which first lady would you most like to see naked next?

Yes, it's another MAC post.

Yes, it's another Fergie post.

My beloved Stacey has ever so kindly remixed her FABULOUUS hit, 'Glamorous' for MAC. As one the faces of the Viva Glam campaign, it's the least she could do.

Download it for FREE right here. Note that for some reason you have to set your country as 'USA' to access the download!

Dear MAC

No, this isn't one of those 'open letter' style blog entries that people seem to be so fond of. This is an actual opportunity to drop a line to MAC, or more specifically one of their highly skilled, highly flattering, all round wonderful artists.

The Email An Artist scheme allows you to directly contact a team of specially trained Online Artists. Don't worry, they're not just fobbing you off with a fancy name -- they are genuine MAC artists who really know their shit, to be blunt. Drop 'em a line and see what they can do for you!
