Amy 4 Roberto

All this talk of Amy Winehouse becoming the face of Roberto Cavalli got me thinking... which of Roberto's women would Amy be? She's no Victoria Beckham, and this season's Cavalli collection featured a distinct lack of leopard print -- the one look of his that I could totes see her rocking.

The romantic? Too floaty I reckon.

The tomboy? It's just not her... is it?

Keep reading for more looks!

I Want It Now

Last night the Tim Burton remake of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was on TV. Whilst I guess it's a good enough film, for me nothing can ever top the original. Watching the movie got me thinking about a past fashion icon of mine -- a girl who, whilst I've admittedly only seen one of her outfits, inspired me way back when. I am, of course, talking about the number one brat herself, Veruca Salt.

Her mod-tastic little red number is basically the perfect dress, and whilst I used to own something very similar as a young 'un, I am now sadly missing a red button down peter-pan collar dress. Forshame! Keep reading for three Veruca Salt-esque outfits...

Post Secret

I was hunting around at home today for postcards to send as part of a postcard exchange I'm partaking in, when I came across the one below.

This lovely image is on a postcard I picked up at the On|Off part of Fashion Week last season, and the necklace is by a brilliant jeweller called Rheanna Lingham who I met on the gala night. The stars are perfect for this season, but even if you're not into following trends I think it's a gorgeous statement piece. Rheanna is part of the collective that sell at Luna and Curious up on Brick Lane, so naturally you can buy her stuff over there. No online store just yet, but if you're in the East End it's definitely worth checking em out.

Oh, and the postcard isn't in the post just yet... I can't fathom out on the Royal Mail website how many stamps I need...

Your Weekly Dose of WTF-ery

This week comes thanks to the brilliant Amber at Hey, Dollface!. This week, we are looking at tooth tattoos. Yes, tooth tattoos.

Tattoos are brilliant. Lip tattoos are a bit pointless. Eyeball tattoos are a whole WTF in themselves. Tooth tattoos, however, are my new favourite thing. Maybe I should get one. What do you reckon? If you're tempted, check out the work at the Tooth Artist site.

I love this (actually very well done) cockerel. Awesome. I suppose it has some gang meaning or something that I don't get, but for now let's just admire/puzzle over the potential brilliance of teeth tattoos. What would you get? I'd personally go for KISS on my four front teeth.

Another American Apparel Heads Up

Psst... American Apparel are all set to launch their own vintage stores. The California Select Vintage range is due to launch... well, soon.

Stores are set to open in LA, Berlin, Chapultepec Morales, and erm, Calgary. Don't worry if you aren't so exotically located though -- the online store is set to launch at the same time.

Judging by AA's picks of vintage sunglasses, as well as the store's overall hipper than thou attitude, we can expect a perfectly edited, highly desirable, probably overpriced range of foxy vintage. And 'more', apparently -- although what that 'more' is we shall have to wait and see...
