I wish Topshop had never released their 'horror girl' range. I've been in three times this week and already bought half of it.

If you've ever had the misfortune to spend any time with me, you'll be aware of my pug obsession. Pugsession? King of the dog world, that's the essence of it. Mulberry agree, which is presumably why they've chosen the most amazing species on the planet to model the new 'Mulberry Mutt' line. I know most people hate dog clothes, but I say people who hate dog clothes hate life and probably eat babies so WHO ARE THEY TO JUDGE?

The LOVE blog reported on the range, and claim it's in store now. I can't find it anywhere online, but maybe by 'in store' they meant in those actual shops that exist 'in the real world'.

I spent three hours last night [no exaggeration] trying to remember the name of this website, so I figured I'd better write it down now. There was some really intense Googling going on. I had a strained red face like a man who works in sales or something. I was so angry with my brain I was basically in tears.
Anyway, here it is.
Ladies and Gentleman: THE STYLE MIXER.
Whether you're an artist, designer, blogger, or just someone with a brain freeze in need of inspiration... The Style Mixer is for you. I first discovered it at uni, when my second year tutor used it as the basis for designing a collection. Spin the wheel, and design around whatever you land on. I got Flamenco Horror, which is about as fucking awesome as it gets. As you can well imagine. There may or may not have been a fix involved, I forget.
That's all I really had to say on the matter, but it's a really useful tool and also pretty fun.
IMPORTANT NEWS, KINDA
Thanks for the fan mail, it's the best. If you want to follow my blog adventures with a snazzy RSS feed, that option is available to you. NO WAI, I know? Scroll right on down to the bottom left corner... there you'll find an orange/grey rectangle marked 'RSS 2.0'. Let me know if it doesn't work, obvers.

I can't believe I missed this too. Jade, of Lady Jadey fame, blogged about it, and now I'm mega bummed. A jewel print and ~statement shoulders? AND sleeves? Fuuuuck. It seems to be exclusively stocked at Circus, a super-stylin' Dublin boutique which stocks cult labels, including KTZ who are responsible for this bad boy. KTZ, I'm sure you all know about. No? Go read Susie Bubble's bit about the label, or Diane Pernet's.
MAN I'm pissed about this. I need to stop dwelling on it and hitting F5. It won't get restocked, will it?

Everything Pierre Hardy has designed for Gap so far has been awesome, so no great surprises that the creations for autumn/winter '09 are equally fetch. I like the woolly boots because obviously and the grey shoes because they remind me of Iso's new shoes.
SPEAKING OF WHICH... So Shiny Media is no more, which means no more Catwalk Queen, Brandish, Kiss & Make Up and the rest. It's exceptionally sad news. On a personal level, Shiny were the first people to 'pay' me to 'write' for them, and they continued to support my 'career' for years. That's selfish reasons though. It's also sad because everyone who worked there was wonderfully talented, kind and funny. RIP Shiny. For now, you can follow the SUPERB editor Isabelle here, founder/ex-editor Gemma here and Brandish writer Colin here. And how could I forget? Laura La Rue who used to edit The Bag Lady is also a busy bee, editing the UK arm of FabSugar. What a talented bunch, eh?
BTW, Pierre's shoes will be available in September.
