Faces look ugly when you're alone

I really love ceramic artist Megan Bogonovich's work, so it was a nice surprise today to find her stuff for sale on Etsy for really cheap. I love how creepy it is -- like Royal Doulton gone wrong. I'd love to have a dresser full of her characters rather than the usual naff figurines.

It's no secret that I'm a big fan of a sequinned coat, so my interest was naturally piqued by these spangly numbers from Sophie Hulme. She graduated from Kingston Uni in 2007 and seems to be doing really well for herself. Her collections are available in Selfridges, Tom Greyhouse in Korea, LSK collection in New York and Bettina in Greece which is a fairly eclectic (and awesome) range of places to be stocked.

Her website appears to be kinda inactive at the moment, but you can check her out at (SURPRISE!) Pixie Market. Why they have so many awesome Brit graduates, I do not know.

I didn't know that brother/sister design duo Daydream Nation did jewellery as well -- shows how much I know. I really like this limited edition 'Love Is Blind' necklace, which is also available at Pixie Market. The £125 price tag might be a little steep considering it looks like it's made of pipe cleaners, but if you've got some cash burning a hole in your pocket it's a nice little piece. Like Pictionary in accessory format.

She wore high heels and a little black lace, I knew her body but I couldn't see her face

Black lace pixie boots from Yipp-ee. I don't know why I like these so much. I guess I'm on a bit of a black lace trip of late. I was going to say that obvs I wouldn't wear these with either of my matching dresses, but now I think of it, with black opaques maybe I would.

Mmm.

Available from Pixie Market -- free international shipping on orders over $250 until TOMORROW. Shop like your life depends on it.

How do you feel about this? Raf Simons for Dr Martens. I def like the navy and white and, fuck it, if I'm being honest with myself, I think I like the patent ones too. I keep bleating on about this inner goth, but let's be honest, it's out and proud, isn't it?

The blurb says that there's going to be four colourways. Call me blind but I only see three here. Let's guess at the next one. Oxblood? I HOPE SO. The collection is due out in Spring 2009, so eyes and ears peeled please.

Source is Hypebeast, natch.
